You have to take into consideration what happened BEFORE
what words were exchanged...
It's not a black or white thing..
It's a people thing..
People talk "shit" all the time and nothing comes of it most of the time..
But sometimes "shit talking" leads to an actual physical confrontation, as you see here.

Ok, I've been punched before...
never caught off guard with a blow to the head like that BUT....
ok correction, I did catch a blow like that one time...
and my reaction was to be alert and defensive..
that guy didn't get knocked out with the first punch...
he simply reacted very poorly to the punch..
and if he had actually fought back, I don't see how he could have gotten beaten that badly
