Amen. Cyndi didn't want the fame bullshit. She was just having fun and oops she got noticed. If she had wanted to push the fame whore aspect she surely could have. She was way more cool than Modonna in those days.
Madonna was, and still is, attempting to be "something". Cyndi Lauper was/is who she is and never pretended to be anything else.
