too many surfers/media/govt coming to gfy.com, especially after it made NYPost and cable news networks and the prank celeb calls virally spread across the web.
maybe you should consider charging nominal monthly/annual fee for vip membership. $5/m or $25/yr that allows us to
post, carry sigs, search, etc. Board could still function the same for those who just want to lurk and not pay... or perhaps charge everyone, it's best way to verify they are serious. Real webmasters won't mind paying for the opportunity to network and conduct real business... if they can't afford $5 month, then perhaps this is not the right time for them to be in this business.
I already pay for other boards (domains/franchises/mainstream) so the concept is not new and easily adopted, even by early-naysayers. As I've told you before, I'd be first in line to pay...
but if you start an affiliate program, please put everyone under my ID.
