That because theer's more people in america now. So what you are saying is that Bush is more popular than Lincoln or FDR or even Reagan? And Kerry got the 2nd most votes ever for president. So he must be more popular than every single guy who actually won an election in history? In 1992 Perot got more votes than Lincoln ever did and he came in 3rd. So he is more popular than Lincoln? Try going by % and you will see that Bush won re-election by the smallest % since 1918 and 2nd smallest EVER. The VAST majority of President than win a 2nd term win by MUCH more than 3%.
I'm not a dem so don't turn this into a dem vs repub thing because the 2 party system is what is wrong with this country, but the fact remains that 73% of all adults the could vote in 2004 chose NOT to vote for Bush.
