In no particular order:

The cottage, esp. in winter - helps get away from the city/noise/pollution. Too bad it's not my cottage, but the owners don't seem to mind - as long as we clean up.

Any island in the Caribbean. St.Lucia, Grenada and Curacao. If you get to Barbados, watch out for the guy hanging out in the park (just outside the port) with a machete. He's only about 5'1" but the blade is about 5'6".

Eastern Europe. Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria coast, etc. are very interesting with incredible historical significance - old cathedrals, monuments, museums. Eye candy is at a premium too.

Fiji. The most beautiful islands I've ever seen. Only downside is that in some of the less built-up places you'll be sharing your hut with a few rather robust species of insects, gekkos and the odd crab.

Australia. There are few places in the world where you can go from city to desert to tropical rainforest in a few hours by car. And the scuba diving is among the best in the world. The islands of the northeastern coast are spectacular and seem almost untouched. (Kangaroos act like pigeons in that they barely try to avoid humans. Big mistake.)
