Years back, in response to the craze of the large bass speakers in these cars, I equipped my Galaxie with several PA horns under the hood, wired to my stereo, on it's on amplification system and kill switch.
It wasn't bassy, but it was the loudest thing rolling the streets, pure blasting midrange.
If some knucklehead got up next to me with the loud bass, I'd flip the switch and see the blood start to trickle from their ears.
It sounded best with polka music, the trumpets and whatnot were perfect for the midrange. Yodelling tunes also did nicely.
