Maybe JJ should have pointed out that these are simply test shots. One thing I find about the folks in here when it comes to pictures is that no one can agree. Personally, I think they're perfect as test shots. They show everything necessary to evaluate the model, which is the entire point isn't it?

Like I said, I'm not a critic...and I wasn't commenting on the girl, I was just commenting on the actual shots. Test shots are used to evaluate the model, I agree, but that's exactly it-models portfolios don't contain amatuer shots cuz they wouldn't be able to sell themselves. When one understands photography and developing, one understands that the quality of the photo makes a HUGE difference on the end result. In this case, had the first photo had proper density and color, the model's skin would have looked better. Hell, now a days you can make such drastic improvments through corrections that some models are nothing in real life what they appear to be in their shots. With that said, if you're trying to sell something, use the tools available to you to do so. It's easier to sell a car when it's been washed and waxed then when it's filthy dirty and dull, right?
