Using Google Alerts, you can have Google email you when someone links to your site.

Under the "Search Terms" field, type in: link:http://www.your-site.com
Select "Web", and the other two form fields are self-explanatory.

If you check your indexed pages, and back links frequently, this would be a time saving tool for you.
