Personally I am very anti-Block Buster for many reasons. The end of late fees is a good idea and yes, of course it is to their benifit or else they wouldn't do it. Why would they give up the revenue of a full rental price if they didn't have to?

The bigger problem in my eyes is that they do seek out movies that have been edited for content. Ever wonder why the movie is 'R' at the theaters but only PG-15 at Block Buster? Ever have the funny feeling that there was suposed to be more to a certain scene?

Not only are they changing movies to effect their overall rating system that ipacts their market share for certain segments, they have always charged more than anywhere else has and their rentals have been for a shorter period of time. WHy would I go there and rent a movie that may have been modified and pay $5.99 when I could go to Movie Gallery and pay $2.99 for the same movie that has not been edited and keep it for a week for $0.99 extra? This kicks ass for video ga,es.

I'm dione ranting. Block Buster can do what they want but I will never darken their doors since I have rented a movie from thwm and Movie Gallery and seen the difference in content and price.
