Well - there has to be a catch. Otherwise, people will take advantage and keep the movies for months at the time. I dont' have a problem with it myself. I rented a movie the other day and the guy at the counter told me the date that it was due back but then said...."If you need a few days extra - no problem". And, I returned the movie a few days late and it was fine.
From what I understand - if you return the movie a week after the due date you have to pay a $1.50 restocking fee - this is still much less than a full rental. If you return the movie a month late - you have just bought the movie. What's wrong with this? If you keep the movie for a fucking month you deserve to buy the movie because now Blockbuster has lost sales on that movie because your lazy ass didn't bring it back
