We wrote our own content management script after trying out a handful that failed to meet our expectations. I set out the guidelines for what I wanted, and our in house programmer made it happen.

- Must be flexible with when it updates: daily, every other day, certain days of the week, etc.
- One click operation: Upload a folder of pictures, and the CMS scans the photos, makes thumbnails, chooses a main thumbnail to represent the set, make zip files for both members and affiliates, and creates all html pages.
- Voting scripts: Members can vote on sets, and sets can be added to a most popular section. This feature is also used with another site - a feed - where surfers from other sites get access to the two most popular sets and two most recent updates.
- Manages feeds: We have 300+ feeds spread out over 32 sites, and our CMS rotates these feeds in and out our of sites as well as runs our feed site that all of our members get access to. This also has a voting script, and the most popular feeds are weighted down.
- Videos: CMS also handles videos, including automatically linking up dozens of low bandwidth versions of each video.
- Reports: Our CMS generates a daily report with what's in the cue and emails it to our staff. If there is no update in the cue for a site that needs to be updated in 24 hours it pages my cell.
- Videos vs Photos: The ability to set the ratio for how many videos to put up vs photos. Currently this is set at 2 photosets / 1 video.

I could go on for days about this.
