what i am getting at is that people are often not seeing the forest for the trees. how strong/professional epoch is, how much longer Ibill will last etc etc etc has nothing to do with the bigger picture and that is that there is no way that anyone can argue that their lives are ever going to get easier as IPSP's. doesn't matter what kind of company they run. if you are making yourself dependent on a dying business model, then you will most likely die with them.

the first point of agreement between IPSP's when Visa USA changed their rules last time was that the rules were designed specifically to hurt IPSP's and to put more pressure on them and put them out of business. that should have been everyones wake up call... and the real question is not "how great is epoch". the real question people should be asking is "what i am doing to prepare myself and my company for the strong possibility that they can cease to exist at anytime no matter how great they are"

just my opinion.

"making money" is short term thinking. "building a company that will always make money and weather any changes ahead" is long term thinking and requires a completely different mind set than most people have in this industry. if you are making less than 10K a month... maybe you are thinking about "making money"... and if your mini empire collapsed, you could easily figure out other ways to make 10K a month. you could do that selling shoes at Nordstroms. however, if you are making a lot more than that, you should be thinking long term, rather than just preparing yourself for where to lay blame for your eventual failure and collapse when highly probable and seemingly enevitable changes do finally happen.
