So I visited another forum and made a post regarding my issues in the TGP section.

Juicy was the first to answer the post. He also icq'd me to let me know he replied. Furthermore, he offered to assist me with the script. There are certain things that I am helpful at, for example, writing a press release for a webmaster that might not be so proficient in writing, but technical items, such as the script, tend to confuse me. I asked a few more questions to him and he said if I was comfortable, he would login and check out the script. I offered to pay him but he declined.

He went in and made several adjustments, including turning on some heavy traffic from his own sites to fuel the lagging outgoing trade traffic (many had demised due to misuse of the trade script). Within two months, our trades represented less outgoing, more quality "out" than most other tgps we dealt with. The initial help he gave me was the spark to my now, more proficient understanding in this arena, which not only helped that project, but has made me a more well-rounded business person too date.

Board personas are board personas, they are not the holy grail of personality embodiment. I notice a few post manifesting lately questioning him for his festive personality; subsequently calling into question his usefulness around the forums.

I suggest people take a moment to really think about what makes a forum useful. In an industry littered with incapable scumbags, we should certainly cherish those that are willing to go the extra mile in helping one another, even if it is not directly on a public forum.

He can have as many board personalities as he likes, if they are all as helpful as him, we are much better off.

Just my thoughts for the day.

Have a Nice Valentine's Day,

Cory.

Happy V Day :P
