My take on the Juicy vs. Joesho thang....

Back in November/December of 2001, Lightspeed made an announcement that they were hiring me as a full time traveling photographer.

Parties were thrown, money was invested, and a lot of fun was had.

THEN....Towards the end of December....Steve Lightspeed decided that he did not like the way things were going. One of his specific concerns was that he felt I was a "loose cannon" especially on these boards.

At this point, the job offer was rescinded.

No contracts were ever signed. Only verbal agreements? His word, my word, and some ICQ logs.

Lightspeed knew my style and personality before he extended the job offer and yet he later made the decision to not follow through with it.

Although it created some issues between us...most important to me is that I lost out on what was potentially a great friendship with Steve....I never even thought about a lawsuit.

What's my point?

Once deals are struck....Sometimes people say or do things that may negatively impact others and those actions have ramifications that go beyond what people see on these boards. I said some things that Steve felt were not good for his business so he dealt with it in a way that he felt was the best?..And he was right in doing so.

I'm not sure which thread I read it in....May have even been this one... But Juicy clearly said that he found out some things AFTER the ball was already rolling on the project.

Whatever those things are, Juicy has decided to keep them to himself. Other options would be to stir even more drama and post his findings and so forth...But he didn't do that. This is not one of his games? It?s business.

Juicy has his reasons for doing what he did and it's not up to any of us to speculate as to what those reasons may be. Better for ALL parties involved for him to get out now rather than going into an arrangement that would be doomed to fail because of this.

If you think that politics are not involved in this industry...Think again.
