No, I didn't try because those numbers didn't really make sense to me. I figured this out:
Each character has a different number assigned to it, it works the same for the username and password. The number of each character is easy to figure out just by typing it into the form: ex. a = 97, b = 98, c = 99 etc. When you're dealing with a multiple character username or password, it works by multiplying all the values. For example, "abc" would be (97 x 98 x 99). The positioning of the letters make no difference, cba would be the same value as abc.
