it is really amazing that people have almost no clue as to how common illegal steroids are in most sports. you simply cant be a competitive bodybuilder or a competitive athlete in many sports without using a wide assortment of illegal drugs.
steroids are very useful. doctors prescribe them all day, every day for a variety of reasons. the real problem is steroid abuse and people using extremely powerful drugs without doctors supervision and no clue as to what they are doing.
and galleryseek said it well... "steroids" don't necessarily equate to great or lasting results. you can hurt yourself, you might not even be getting real steroids (counterfiet/fake stuff is everywhere), you can cause permanent damage to your body and on top of everything, you still have to train correctly, train hard, eat perfectly, sleep well etc. etc. etc.
if you want to get big without competing, supplements, good diet and good training can do wonders.
