I notice you did not have a response to my post on the first page. Maybe you missed it.
"I thought we won the cold war because every President, and every Congress, since 1945 invested the money to stay ahead of the Soviets in military technology. It was called the arms race. Over that period of time we invested untold trillions of dollars. At the end of the cold war we had a military triad that was unmatched, around 50,000 nukes, and under President Reagan, research was begun on a missile defense shield. The Soviets weak economy broke under the pressure.
Now I find out that those trillions of dollars were spent in vain; it was a speech that was provided to us by Israel that won the cold war.
I feel educated. Thank you for the info.
