I think you are smart enough to know the errancies in your post, but if not let me clarify.

Is Labret lying, or is he mistaken in stating that the Jews killed Jesus?

You stated: "You point out a biblical passage that says the Jews didn't stop the Romans from killing him."

The verses he quoted from the bible indicates that it was the Jews that called for his execution.

So to say that the Jews didn't stop the Romans from killing him, while technically correct, it is a misleading statement as to the actual truth of the verses quoted.

According to the bible (which may, or may not contain, the actual truth of events), it was a Jew that betrayed Jesus, it was Jews that called for the death of Jesus and it was Jews that tormented Jesus on his way to execution.

In addition one does not have to believe in the Torah/Bible to quote from them.

It is a simple fact that the God of the Jews and the Jews themselves, as reported by the Torah/Bible, during biblical times, were extremely violent.

While debating past history, or the contents of the Torah/Bible may be interesting, it offers little in the way of a solution for current events.
