there are some places that yankees cant go to after dark but for the most part belize is a very peaceful place. I would suggest visiting Dandriga for the fishing and coastal part of the country..traveling by bus is the way most tourists get around and you can get around the country pretty cheaply.Make sure you eat some boilup and plaintain while u are there
