I am sure in the "GFY War Room" the idea to keep people comming back is to keep the good stuff buried, but I dunno. Keeping the refresh rate in the red 24-7 is part of the goal to keep them impressions and advertisements alive however there is alot more value as a whole to threads that must be "Discovered".
Run this fucker like google and Lensman would stand to make alot more money.
INFORMATION and CONTENT is KING, why leave the peasants to squander in the rock fields in fertile land?

i did my own little test on this as well.
i ran a thread about 404 traffic to get peoples opinions on it and etc etc. it was a very thought out thread and had a definite value to it. it dropped off the board in a matter of 15 minutes. a few people posted some helpful info, but it wasnt on the front page for more than 20 minutes.
i then ran another thread with a pic of a hot chick. it blew up. damn thing was on the front page for 3 days.
the biz threads for people here are not fun and they could care less. out of respect to gfy i wont say where i do get lots of biz done, dont get me wrong, you can get stuff done on gfy, it just has a stigma of being a playground. lots of crazy stuff here to see. gfy is like the cafeteria at high shcool. everyones hanging and just doing their thing. gfy is your 24-7 news source about anything. if i hear that something has happened around the world, the first place i go is gfy to see what people are talking about. you get the latest and greatest on anything, even if you dont care about it.
as far as being a valuable resource, gfy is you betcha. our program will be advertising on here, well, as soon as eric gets back to me we will. i heard a rumor he is in louisiana for mardi gras.
so i guess i am saying that you have a good idea and no matter how many times someone posted it, its still a great idea and i would totally support that section of the board.
