I think this woman was a beauty queen and reality smacked her hard in the face. Her husband, while good looking enough (I guess - I'm not attracted to men) he just wasn't enough to keep her interested. She turned to the work place to entertain herself. In this case, her work place wasn't a typical office but filled with school children.
Rather sad really. And sick too.
