In the display window of the shop is a turn-table on an angle, with raised edges, rolling around the turn table is 100 or more marbles.
The marbles are moving around so as it is not possible to count them.
The competition is, guess how many marbles are rolling around on the turntable and win $500.
The next morning the guy came back to the shop while it was open, walked up to the store clerk and was able to tell him EXACTLY how many marbles were on the turn-table, hence winning the competition.
How did he know for sure, EXACTLY how many marbles were there?
