It's just hype ...
KYW (local to where I live) has done a lot of scare stories lately relating to bacteria/viruses in food, at health clubs, etc.
Most everyone it seems tries to tie terrorism to whatever they do ... why? ... because it helps their organization/mission, and more importantly to get more funding.
There has been numerous studies done over the years that have found the danger of money is relatively low compared to other common items people handle, such as door knobs.
