Karma, faith, and all that jazz is mans way of coping with the total randomization of the world. People need to find answers to things and the only way for that is for things to be static and/or cyclical and/or non random. As soon as events become randomless and a pattern of behavior cannot be deduced to explain it, the human brain turns to faith and karma to explain the utter randomness to ones self.
