Everyone sticking me because I didn't notice the lady lived with her 18yo daughter and her mother (a houseful of women).
I don't doubt that this lady is a mean ass bitch who thought she was going to come up off of the event somehow.
But that aside, I'm saying the parents are *fucking clueless* for letting thier minor-at-the-time child + minor friend (that they were responsible for) run around at 10:30PM in the farm land boonies, to neighbors that they don't know, delivering cookies with freakishly larged heart shaped cards containing cryptic messages as to who they are from.
Btw sexdwarf... since you want to jump on the "read the fucking article" bandwagon... maybe if you read the article with the same fine toothed comb you expect me to before qualifying to reply, you would have noticed that they were both 17 at the time:

Bottom line is the parents are dumb and the whole article is spun up to make the lady who sued look way too extreme (just look at all the replies here).

LOL... yeah right. These girls are so afraid of going to the dance (where they should have been)... because there might be "cursing and drinking", yet they see no problem with fucking around outside your neighbors houses in the middle of the night.
They didn't go to the dance because they didn't have dates.
They delivered cookies to their neighbors _at 10:30PM_ with cryptic "Have a great night! From the T&L club!" messages because they are fucking goobers with no common sense - just like their parents that permitted them to do it.
They are lucky they didn't get shot or have bite them.
