SAVVIS is very much a Tier 1 company and has been since 2000 when it decided to build its own backbone and move away from its leased-line supplier. It now has 10 OC-192 rings the last time I read a SAVVIS press-release.
It also has a number of private ATM-lines.
It is very much a Tier1 company, which is why the world's largest host provider, ThePlanet uses them. Ehm, and if they aren't good enough for webair hosting, then maybe you should drop a line to the guys down at Wall Street, since they are empowered with the SAVVIS network. I'm sure your great hosting offers on a superior network would interest them
