To Whom It May Concern:
My name is James Yates-Laughlin and I am the Senior Editor at GPNet Publishing Company in Washington, DC. I am writing to inform you that our editorial board has selected your company for inclusion in our forthcoming book, A Down & Dirty Guide to Building Adult Web Sites. Specifically your company was chosen to be listed in our Adult Webmaster Resource Guide which is attached to the book as an appendix. Listings include your company name (in bold print), the URL to your Web site, and the
contact information you indicate on your site. We would very much like your permission to include your company in our resource guide. Listings are complementary and represent no obligation to GPNet Publishing.
Scheduled for release in July 2002, this first-of-its-kind guidebook was developed with both novice and experienced webmasters in mind. Until now, there has never been a comprehensive, how-to guide for the adult entertainment entrepreneur available in book form. This 6 x 9, 256-page trade paperback is filled with proven business planning and organizational tips, tried and true advertising and promotional techniques and tactics, and many more basic survival skills the adult webmaster needs when considering starting or rejuvenating an adult online business. In addition to informative and useful illustrations and ?side-bars?, this book includes a full index, a glossary of common Internet/adult entertainment terms and abbreviations, plus the aforementioned resource guide listing only the very best industry suppliers and service providers.
We have allocated a generous advertising budget for this title. Nationwide print-ad campaigns have been developed for the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In due course, we will expand these promotions to Europe and Australia/New Zealand. Furthermore, both German and French translations are being considered for release sometime in 2003. As of this date, worldwide distribution/retail-sales agreements have been secured with the following companies and their respective affiliates: Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and Chapters Books. We anticipate a first edition run of 80,000 copies.
If you would like to receive additional information regarding GPNet or our project, we will be happy to send you a pre-publication information package via email. This package contains:
a detailed fact sheet pertaining to the book, its release and distribution
a complete outline, including all headings and sub-headings
a colour image of the book's front cover
a request form for a first edition copy
A complementary sample chapter is also available for your review upon request. (The sample chapter will be delivered to you via email in the form of a PDF file. In order to open this file you must have access to Adobe's Acrobat Reader.)
This information will also be available on our company Web site after 27 April 2002. Feel free to visit us at
www.gpnet-publishing.com.
As you may well imagine, we are currently under certain time restrictions as we will being going to press on 27 May 2002. Should you decide not to be listed in the resource guide simply notify our office no later than Monday, 6 May 2002 and we will promptly remove your listing. Unless we hear otherwise from you or your representatives, your listing will appear in the first and all subsequent editions of the book.
Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly at 202 387 6671, or you may reach me by email at

Best wishes,
