I thought assets aquired prior to marriage don't get split in half... so if you have the house paid off before marriage, she willl have hard time getting any of it...

If however you put 10% down, and then marry and divorce her, 10% will be yours, rest will be split in half...

but like everyone said, consult a lawyer in your area...
