I said it above and I'll say it again, NEVER bid on an auction, ALWAYS snipe it if you want the lowest price. When you bid early and putting in higher prices, you're just driving that price up.

Say that you and someone else are interested in an item. If you outbid them early and put in a price a lot higher than what the auction was at, you're gonna give that person a chance to come back to bid the item up or even snipe it out from you.

If you snipe it, BOOM, it's last second, nothing they can do and like I say, it keeps the bidding down. You never want to get into a bidding war.
