There is a difference between your general press and your school press.
Kid's freedoms like it or not are limited to some degree especially in school and IMO rightly so...and I'm pretty fucking liberal.
The reason is they are "children," learning to be adults, and don't necessarily have the skills to self regulate. It's not to say that adults always do, but they have at least reached the age of reasoning, and can be held legally responsible for whatever actions they take.
Let kids be kids, and learn to interact at appropriate social levels, they will soon be old enough to live dreary deliberate lives working for the man.
