It would have been unthinkable in WW2 for the media to try and legitimise what the enemy were doing.
And look what happened in Vietnam. The USA was not defeated by the Communist enemy - it was defeated from within by it's own media and the effect of that media on the population.

You make good points.
Think about it. The people in Iraq blowing up cars and killing women and children are not called terrorists. The liberal media has labeled them "insurgents" and "freedom fighters".
Just to try and slant the public opinion in a negative light toward the conservative party.
