I guess that really depends upon how many times you have to re-read a given post to (hopefully) understand the poster's true message, without having to do integral calculus to interpolate the underlying meaning of what their fingers typed. Personally, I like not having to creatively think just to understand a given sentence on the merits of language alone.
From a business perspective also it tells me something about the person when I read their posts. If they can't spell, or don't care about doing so consistently, that tells me they are sloppy in other areas of their business. I forgive the occasional typo - hell I make them myself and even miss them whilst proof-reading - but to consistently butcher their native tongue tells me volumes about them. But, that's just how I was "brung up".
