Both sides are accusing eachother of terrorism, are they both correct? Remember that the definition of "terrorism" has changed alot since 11 september 2001.

There are too many opposite interests in the middle-east to have peace.
Well, I agree and I don't agree at the same time... First, regarding Jenin, the fighting was not in the city. It was in the refugee camp, and it wasn't in all the refugee camp, just part of it. And I agree that people will fight with what they have at hand. I really don't think that Israel should fight back by sending suicide bombers, just like I don't think America should retaliate against Afghanistan by crashing jets into buildings in Kabul. Everyone will use what they have at hand. I agree with you about the opposite interests in the middle-east and I agree that this is partly the reason why there is no peace. Having said that, there is an interest which is above any other interest, and this is the motivation of both people to live and prosper on their own land. I think if it was up to the Israeli people and the Palestinian people, there would have been peace. The problem is when you mix into that the motivations, aspirations and agendas of the respective leaders, along with those of the neighboring countries like Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon etc.
As for the definition of terrorism, I think it shouldn't have changed (if it did). A terrorist is someone who intentionally set himself to kill innocent civilians (to terrorize them) in order to forward his own political agenda (which may be a legitimate one). A freedom fighter does not kill innocent civilians. He kills the occupier, or the army or the people who actively violate his rights.
The Israeli army is not a terrorist. The mission and the action is not: go and kill as many civilians as you can" but rather "go, and try to kill as many terrorists as possible". If the mission was different, there would be no one palestinian alive today. The mission of the suicide bombers is specifically to kill innocent women and children, the more the better. And they don't kill the settelers in the west bank and Gaza - they kill innocent Israelis in Tel Aviv, and Haifa and Netanya: mandatory Israel.
I don't want to believe the definition of terrorism has changed in Sep 11.
The IRA, UVF, UFF etc. are all terrorists when they hurt innocent civilians. The British Army in NI is not a terrorist organization.
