How would you feel for the rest of the day? And then later find out that it was just a "joke".... are you seriously going to just "laugh it off" and call up that family member and say "you got me good, I'll have to buy you a drink for that one!"

Yes, this can be ignored, yes... it can be "laughed off"... but why? It's called caring, feeling, compassion... it's called being human. Just because there's been a ton of trolls and sig whores around here lately who obviously lack any sense of humanity and just want to get a rise out of people... that's no reason for the rest of us to just shed our values and emotions just so we can be "tougher" to what ever prank they pull next.
Yes, we shouldn't let some little punk troll get to us... but we also shouldn't give up our humanity to do it.
