I've 4 servers (all with FreeBSD) with them, some doing 60GB+ daily. Not a problem at all. They have live support, which works great imo. All problems I ever had were solved within 2 or 3 hours.
Further you have console access to your server (for free). They have 2 datacenters with over 20k servers. I don't know why anyone would say you shouldn't have your primary server(s) there. Their buildings have high security standards, they have their own power supply, support is great and I never have experienced any downtime to my servers that wasn't my own fault.
Of course, the servers are unmanaged, so if you don't know anything from (RedHat) Linux or (Free)BSD, you just shouldn't have an unmanaged server.
Imo EV1 is one of the greatest hosting companies around.
