Why do people find the need to try to impress others on GFY?
I see people blatantly lying on here everyday. The same people who beg for help, free software, and bitch that they can never ever make a sale are the same people who say they have 6 houses, 3 new cars, get laid all day everyday and are just filthy rich.
I can't be the only one noticing this.

Does it really do wonders for your self-esteem when you lie to people that you have never even met in real life?

Am I the only one who can admit that I'm not filthy rich?
I can count the times I have been laid on one hand.
I'm 20 years old.
I have bills to pay, and sometimes it's hard.
I'm doing decent but i'm hardly rich.
And suprisingly enough, my penis is small.

If someone were to drop by here and start making assumptions about the people on GFY, they would probably think that every single webmaster here is a millionaire, gets laid all the time, has at least a 12 incher, and has the best damn life possible.

Why are you people lying to yourself? to others you have never met?
It's uncanny.

The only thing I rarely admit is my age.
Only because there are quite a few 18-20s on here and other boards that are just plain idiots, and people put it off because of their age.
I'm mature, professional, business-minded and I know what I'm doing, yet my age is my only reserve.

I know there are a few guys on here who are actually who they say they are, but there are quite a few who login everyday and try to impress everyone.
What's with that?

I've been doing web dev for quite awhile now, and because of that I have lost a lot of my social life. I gave it up for what I love doing - this.

My point is this:
I'm fat, ugly, I don't drive a Rolls Royce, I rarely get laid, and I don't have more than one house.
Does that make me any less of a webmaster?
No.
