To me, it is amazing how close we've stayed considering the physical distance and some tragedies we've endured. So for the last Valentine's, I sent her a gift box with a cd I made of her favorite songs and a gift certificate for Dairy Queen. Then I gave her two big, fluffy sweatshirts with one saying "I (heart) New York" and the other reading "Sweet Home Chicago". In the note, I told her that from where we started to where we are to where ever we go next, it all meant that much more to me because she was there too. When we had the chance to be together again, I made dinner for her and took her out for a treat a Dairy Queen. The whole thing cost me next to nothing, but she said it was the nicest present she's ever received. So I guess that's romatic.
But the year before that, I just got her a big heart shaped cookie that said "Eat Me". Then we boned.
