It's actually a very beautiful state with tons of wildlife and recreation. If you are not an outdoors person or don't enjoy wilderness, or the cold this state is definitely not for you. However if you enjoy seeing beautiful wilderness, going snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, or in the summer time visiting one of the many nice inland lakes, then Michigan is a great place to live. Snow isn't all that bad
I put 100 miles on my snowmobiles yesterday and had a great time doing it.
Living on a lake and in Central Michigan now I get todo a lot more than living in the city. I can walk out my back door in the summer and go out on the boat, go fishing, or take the jet-skis out. In the winter i can go snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting etc. There really is a lot to do here.
