People who take Nostradamus prophecies seriously, argue that Nostradamus, who is known to have made his prophecies in excited (perhaps by use of opiates) states of mind, was not able to pick up the names exactly from the cacophony of voices that he would hear in such a state. The dubbed second Antichrist, or Hitler, was put down as Hister. It makes sense then to assume that Mabus and Alus were picked up from the Abu Masub Al Zarqawi's name. Also, there is a clear reference to two rivers that are interpreded as Iraq's Tigris and Euphrates. However, there are other theories who Mabus might be, and most people do not take speculations about Nostradamus prophecies very seriously.
