Dot NET has picked up some steam recently. I'm still a big fan of .net domains.

The ~$50 it takes to register a few of the best .US domains you find is not much of a risk compared to what this market might turn out to be in the near future. Sitting on the fence in the domain game never amounts to everything because as soon as the values allow you to get off your fence, the valuable domains are already taken and you are back on the fence for the next thing.
