If it was laserguided it would have to have been targeted on the Canadian troops by a spoter on the ground?
I understand that this was in a friendly area and a designated training area.
Also was the F16 part of the training or just happened to be ''there" by chance?
Either way you dont drop a 500lbs bomb that close to the troops as an excercise.( I dont think the Taliban have this capability )

the f16 wasn't part of the exercises... im wondering also.. it's actually pretty hard to drop bombs on an area already cleared as for allied use... hell most of the training facilities were cleared of al quaida use like a week before they were bombed several months ago..... although from what i hear the us army isn't the safest in the world... 2 died in training exercises west of rockhampton while they were over here for "training"last year or so..... most know the SAS and ghurkas is where it's at
