On a similar note, Dre has been sued at least twice before for using a sample without giving credit to the persons he sampled from. He was sued by some Jazz musician for a sample used in an Eminem song and by an East Indian singer in India whose sample he used on the song he did with Rakim. He didn't get permission from those parties and obviously no royalties so they rightfully sued.
