http://www.acidpope.com was the first TGP I remember dressing it up, and then I'd have to say SeriesX and Absolut Series were out right around that time, too. Too foggy to say who was first. But all looked better than the usual TGP
Shap does a great job making high traffic sites look good.
Dirty D + Captain P have sites that are just too cool looking
SpyCam's Orchid Designs making it harder to have ugly TGPs out there
Some of the coolest looking TGPs I have ever seen had traffic problems (like not enough of it)
