I grew up in okla, now in florida, your right, hurricanes are a bit easier to deal with, but, i have seen a few tropical storms, and have heard a hurricane is like a tornado, it just lasts about 6 hours. The last one, we had to drive to daytona which is 55 miles away to check on our property, shit, there were awnings, roofs, trees limbs everywhere.
Is anyone out there near Amarillo? I have family there.
