For one week, I chewed a couple pieces of that gum to sooth the fits.
My barrier has always been being in a bar and drinking. I finally found what I feel to be a solution.
When you drink, you tend to get irrational about certain things. I just kept telling myself as we were in the bar that "smoking is disgusting."
It worked. When you get buzzed, you have convinced yourself that it is disgusting.
Strange, I know. But I also padded myself with one week of smokelessness before attending prayer at the bar.
