So to judge him you are one of the very few who are in a happy long term marriage and can say for certain that the failure of his 2 marriages was his fault for choosing poorly? Most marriages fail because two people are growing and changing continually and the chances of them growing in the same direction so that they are still compatible are very small. No big deal, move on. How many current marriages are poisoning the couple and any children because they don't have the courage to admit that the marriage is over.
Ever made a choice in life which when looking back you would have done different?. That's part of life, no regrets, learn and live. The only way to get anywhere is to go for it.
