Conservative approach says buy 1 MBps and see what happens. Aggresive says buy 10 MBps and see what happens.
I would buy a dedicated server with 1 MBps at the best price I could find, and see what happens. I know I am in the hosting biz, but a lot of people buy more than they need. Dont do that to yourself if you are just starting out.
If 1 MBps is $100 and and 10 Mbps is $800 or $80/Mbps, the difference is not that big. You might not push as much traffic as you expected and your money would go to waste.
Just a word from the wise, dont stick yourself with a big hosting contract that you dont need, especially if you are new to this. I do hosting for a living and I don't see any benefit in buying a lot to save a little. Our most popular package is 1 MBps and very few customers push 10 MBps in their first month.
Be conservative and you will come out on top. Besides that, you can always upgrade.
