This is complete shit. First off, nobody is running around begging horny men to become priests. That'd be like begging a nun to star in your next gang bang video. It doesn't work, I have tried.
To become a priest you have to study, and study, and study, for many years. You must give up much MORE then sex. This may sound weird to most of you, but sex ain't everything. So to become a priest you must be extremely devoted and extremely willing to work hard, and believe in what you work for. These people are priests to help people, to devote their life to God. They care about their people and others in need, not about the money in their pocket. Money and women (wives, sex, whatever) are seen as something that takes away from the devotion to God, especially children. Think about it, how willing would a father or wife be to get up at 3 AM on a regular basis to help people in need.
Same reason I don't want kids or a woman, they take too much time.
Lately we've seen some bad eggs. Don't you all find it a little odd that they all decide to come out NOW? I'm not defending the offenders by any means, but things aren't always what they appear. You should all know that. Also, I highly doubt that there is a recent surge in pediphelia amongst priests. This is no different than the gay issue. We see gays much more now than 60 years ago, is it because there are more gays?
