you should buy one of those "Teach Yourself Photoshop 7 in 24 hours" books (by SAMS)
its actually 24-one hour lessons, and it shows you how to use all the tools and some tricks & tips.
i know i didnt fuck around with a few tools till i bought myself that book lol
