The reason why they did this was shady registrars would just ignore requests to transfer people own domains, ( because they lose money ) so they would send the user through some insanely impossible paper trail to transfer the domain.

Some registrars are doing it differently.

I tried it on a directnic name and transferred it then i didnt agree to the transfer to see wht would happen , i just ignored the email entirely, and it didnt go through ( domain was unlocked )

But i tried the same thing on names names names and godaddy and it went thru
